I'll be honest — I had thought time was running out for DCeased, and that Tom Taylor had finally run out of things to say about this horrific new world. But I'm delighted to say that Taylor and Hairsine proved me wrong, delivering a sequel that will engage you, surprise you, and will ultimately turn everything we know about this series on its head. If anything, I'd argue that DCeased: Dead Planet might even be better than the first series — but even if that turns out to be too early to make that case, I can definitely say I can't wait to see where this series goes next. … [Read more...] about Best Shots Review – DCeased: Dead Planet #1 “might even be better than the first series”

X-Force is the mutant CIA, and our field operatives are heading to Terra Verde. Because—as you learned in the last issue—some bad shit is going down there as a result of Beast’s meddling. Bio-terror of the highest order. A dark mirror to the organic tech employed by Forge and the mutants. Wolverine, Domino, and Kid Omega have gone into the heart of the jungle—and encountered some 'Annihilation'-level weirdness. … [Read more...] about “Attention horny X-Fans”: X-Force #10 is full of brutal action and “sexy” thrills
Busiek: "The reason this was a big deal in the industry was that Carol had been so important to the comic direct sales market. She was important to the Marvel side of it but really to all of it. It's a mystery to me how somehow that has been wiped out of what should be ingrained in the behavior of us all." … [Read more...] about Tom Hanks Says “Wear A Mask”

But I dug its world, its general vibe, and even felt fondly towards some of its characters, particularly the griot and the protagonist’s mentor, who is way too busy being a badass somewhere else to babysit him. … [Read more...] about Have you played… Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan?
