The King of New York Power Up! expansion adds a new monster, Mega Shark to your King Of New York games. It also adds a missing component from the core game, adding a unique feel to each playable monster. In the core King of New York game, the monsters are only differentiated by their looks in the cardboard figure you use to represent your monster in-game. Power Up! adds a set of eight evolution cards for each monster. The evolution cards give each monster a unique evolution ability that can be played at any time, unless specified by the card. You gain one card at the start of the game and more if you roll three hearts during your turn. The Strong Museum, a museum in New York City that has a number of different sections dedicated to play, has added in four new Video Game Hall of Fame entries from a variety of different genres. The games are Final Fantasy 7, John Madden Football, Spacewar, and the original Tomb Raider. These four games have either given rise to juggernaut franchises or become particularly well-known as classics, so each one being put in the Hall of Fame has earned their position. Final Fantasy 7 is seen as one of the best Final Fantasy games, with a wide cast of characters and one of the most memorable antagonists in video games. Four landmark video games spanning 50 years of history have been inducted into the World Video Game Hall of Fame: Final Fantasy 7, John Madden Football, the first Tomb Raider and Spacewar!. The Strong museum in Rochester, New York, announced the honorees this morning. The World Video Game Hall of Fame was established in 2015. Today’s inductees join 15 others enshrined over the past four years. About the winners: Final Fantasy 7, (1997, Square) is hailed for breakthroughs such as its 3D graphics, cinematic cut scenes, and a deep storyline, and bringing Japanese role-playing games to mainstream popularity worldwide. Lindsay Lohan’s lawsuit against Take-Two Interactive, regarding a parody character in Grand Theft Auto 5 that she said was an unlawful use of her likeness, has ended in New York state’s highest court. Six judges of the New York Court of Appeals upheld a lower court’s ruling that rejected Lohan’s civil claim against Take-Two regarding the character “Lacey Jonas.” Lacey Jonas is a one-off character appearing in a random event called “Escape Paparazzi” in Grand Theft Auto 5. Like Lohan, Jonas is someone notorious for a fast rise to fame who becomes a popular subject in tabloid media. Lohan brought her case against Take-Two in 2014. The publisher called it a publicity stunt. Still, Lohan’s suit survived a motion for dismissal back in 2016 — no small feat considering her status as a pubic figure. The World Video Game Hall of Fame has announced it's 2018 finalists this Tuesday, and it looks as though these inductees will be one to remember. The World Video Game Hall of Fame is an international hall that was opened in New York on June 4th, 2015. The purpose of the hall of fame is to show off and reward video games that have had a huge impact on the world and how people have been affected by them. It's a heartwarming and pivotal moment for all those involved, and this year, with inductees like Metroid, doesn't seem as though it'll be a let down on that particular aspect. The games announced this year are the following, via AP News: Asteroids: Released by Atari in 1979, the game sold more than 70,000 arcade units. Millions more played it on the Atari 2600.
