New streaming platform Paramount Plus has announced its movie release plan – and it's pretty big. For one thing, Mission: Impossible 7, Michael B. Jordan-led Creed 3, and horror sequel A Quiet Place 2 will stream on Paramount Plus just 45 days after their theatrical release dates. Mission: Impossible and the A Quiet Place sequel are currently set for release on November 19 and September 17, respectively. A 90-day window between a movie premiering in theaters and its home release used to be the norm, pre-pandemic. Meanwhile, the new Paranormal Activity movie and a Pet Sematary origin story, which will take inspiration from Stephen King's bestselling novel, will be made directly for Paramount Plus and go straight to streaming. There's a hidden message inside the latest Halo Infinite development update, which could point towards Cortana being one of the main villains. In a new blog post , 343 Industries gave us an update about the development of Halo Infinite, but the team also hid a secret audio file in the post which players have discovered. The audio file makes a reference to Cortana's actions, which could possibly be a hint towards the direction of the overall story of the game. The hidden audio, which you can listen to just below, is a 46-seconds long conversation between Master Chief and Dr Halsey, the subject of which also makes reference to the story events of Halo 5. The Animal Crossing: New Horizons crossover with Super Mario is now live in the former game with the launch of the new 1.8 update. Once you've downloaded update 1.8 for Animal Crossing: New Horizons , which is available everywhere today on February 25, you'll have access to new Super Mario-themed items. When you check your mailbox after installing the update, you'll find the Mushroom Mural wallpaper waiting for you, which turns your house wall into a Mario course. However, the rest of the special Super Mario crossover items aren't going live for New Horizons players until next month on March 3. At this point, Nintendo will begin to gradually roll out the new items, which will continue to arrive all throughout the coming month. Writers Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Palmer, known for their lengthy run on DC's Harley Quinn , and artists John McCrea and Paul Mounts will team up with Z2 Comics to produce an original graphic novel based on the music and history of legendary New York City punk/new wave band Blondie. The title of the OGN is Blondie: Against The Odds. Founded in the late '70s, Blondie rose through the New York punk scene among bands like the Ramones, Television, the Talking Heads, and more, to become international superstars and some of the most acclaimed and successful musicians to arise from the early punk scene. Palmiotti and Conner, who both say they are lifelong fans of the band, will create an OGN that channels aspects of some of Blondie's most popular music to chronicle their rise to fame.
