Dead Island 2 is no longer being made by Yager
UPDATE 15/7/15 1.15pm: Yager boss Timo Ullmann has commented on his company's split from developing Dead Island 2 and explained that the studio's vision for the game had begun to differ from that of publisher Deep Silver. "Our team is made of the best creative minds and tech specialists, who all share a common identity," Ullmann told GamesIndustry.biz . "The team worked with enthusiasm to take Dead Island 2 to a new level of quality. However, Yager and Deep Silver's respective visions of the project fell out of alignment, which led to the decision that has been made." Yager, best known for its work on enjoyable story-driven shooter Spec Ops: The Line, will now continue to focus on its other announced project - space sim Dreadnought - as well as other ideas it has in production. "All I can reveal at this point is that Gamescom will be awesome," Ullmann concluded. ORIGINAL STORY 14/7/15 Dead Island 2 is changing developers with Yager (Spec Ops: The Line, Dreadnaught) no … [Read more...] about Dead Island 2 is no longer being made by Yager
Dead Island 2 delayed to 2016
Dead Island 2 will now be released in 2016, developer Yager has announced. The follow-up to Techland's zombie shooter (and its sequel, Dead Island: Riptide) was originally set to arrive this spring for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Announced at E3 last year, the game sees the survival experience move to the mainland US - rather than an actual island. But Yager will need more time to complete the project, the developer explained in a new announcement posted to Twitter . Read the full statement below: "We have always set ourselves a big goal for Dead Island 2: to create the sequel that takes Dead Island to the next level. A game that takes what our fans tell us they love about Dead Island - multiple different characters to play with, co-op, and turning a paradise setting into a zombie slaughter melee - and a game that adds a ton more content and combat options on top of that. "And we wanted to have all of that that done for release in Spring 2015. "We have been looking … [Read more...] about Dead Island 2 delayed to 2016
So, Rocket Lake is good for something. The 11900K nails DDR4 overclocking record at 7156MHz
A new DDR4 overclocking record has been set by the MSI OC Team in Taiwan at a frankly staggering 7,156MHz. The record was set using a single stick of HyperX Predator 4600MHz 8GB DDR4 . As the name suggests, the module is nominally rated at 4,600MHz, so represents a hefty overclock over the XMP profile. If you're looking to set your own records, then the specific module you need to pick up is the HX44C19PB3K2/16, because the naming of RAM modules is a bit of a mess, and you're going to need to be specific to get this record-holding stick of memory. It's worth noting that while this is a world record for RAM overclocking, it's not going to do much for you when it comes to gaming. Firstly because it's only a single stick of RAM, and is therefore only using one of your memory channels. The CAS Latency has also been hit hard to reach this frequency, with the stick running with a CAS Latency of 58. Gulp. For comparison, at 4600MHz the XMP profile has a CL of 19. There's also … [Read more...] about So, Rocket Lake is good for something. The 11900K nails DDR4 overclocking record at 7156MHz
