If you've yet to experience the terror of being chased down by a TIE-Interceptor, well now's your chance, as Star Wars: Squadrons is coming to EA Play - and by extension, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate . Squadrons is due to arrive on EA Play "sometime in March," although EA is yet to announce a precise date. Motive's space combat game released in October last year, delivering excellent dogfights that are particularly spectacular in VR . Along with Squadrons, EA is also putting a couple more sports games on its subscription service: Madden NFL 21 arrives on 2nd March, while NHL 21 lands sometime in April. If that's your thing. It's worth noting Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can currently only use EA Play on console, as in December Microsoft explained EA Play for Game Pass on PC would be delayed until sometime in 2021 . Xbox Series X has finally fixed a tiny issue that caused an extremely disproportionate amount of frustration among hardcore players. While the Xbox user interface has remained largely consistent over the last few years, it's steadily evolved with new tweaks on the aesthetic side here and menu functionality there. One such change was adding Xbox Assist, a built-in support tool, to the menu that pops up when you access game options on the dashboard. More specifically, the bottom of the menu, which is where fans had previously built up years of muscle memory to quit or manage their games. This resulted in countless frustrated Xbox fans pulling up the menu, pressing RT to instantly select the bottom item, then being greeted by Xbox Assist when they were not in need of any Xbox assistance. PS5 and Xbox Series X stock problems due to the COVID-19 pandemic are being investigated by the Biden administration, reports Reuters . President Joe Biden pledged a 100-day review of supply chains as well as $37 billion yesterday (February 24) to fund legislation that will accelerate manufacturing for chips used in the PS5 and Xbox Series X . The shortage of semiconductors has also affected production amongst US automakers, pharmaceutical companies, and other major manufacturers. The scarcity, which extends worldwide, has been "exacerbated by the pandemic" and was the main topic of a conversation between Biden and lawmakers yesterday. "I’m directing senior officials in my administration to work with industrial leaders to identify solutions to the semiconductor shortfall,” Biden announced. “Congress has authorized a bill but they need $37 billion to make sure that we have this capacity...I’ll push for that as well."
