Quantic Dream, developer of PlayStation exclusives Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human, has posted a new statement stating an investigation has concluded there was no "'toxic atmosphere' or any kind of discrimination in the studio" in order to "set the record straight". The statement comes after the studio was accused of a hostile work environment and sued by a former employee back in 2018 . The victim in the case quit their post due to offensive photoshopped images of employees being circulated at the studio, images of which came to light after a damning joint investigation into toxic workplace culture was undertaken by a team of journalists at French publications Le Monde, Canard PC, and Mediapart. Children's campaigners and a UK Member of Parliament have criticised upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive Detroit: Become Human for its controversial domestic abuse scene. At Paris Games Week in October, Detroit hit the headlines after Sony released a trailer for the game in which scenes of domestic abuse and child abuse feature heavily. In the video we see android housekeeper Kara thrust into an uncomfortable domestic abuse situation. She's charged with taking care of a young girl who is attacked by her belt-wielding single father. The video tries to get the point across that you're able to change the course of events at multiple points in the scene. The video shows that one of the potential moments sees the young girl shoot her father as he chases Kara. Sony's London Studio has mostly worked on games with required accessories, and its recent efforts have been on PlayStation VR. Now, it appears the studio is gearing up for a PS5 project , but it's not clear if it will be a VR game. What we do know, however, is there will be online play. A listing on the studio's site says it needs an online gameplay designer who will work on a PS5 project. The listing specifically mentions online multiplayer, as well as working with narrative and mission leads, so there will apparently be some sort of story content that could work alongside the multiplayer. The specifics on what kind of game it is are otherwise pretty much nonexistent, however. We do know that London Studio is working on making VR content work for PS5, at least as far as past games go. Some Outriders players are reporting that a new patch that was supposed to stabilize the shooter has completely wiped their inventories of all their gear. A patch that hoped to fixed server errors is causing its own problems now by wiping inventories, resulting in some players refusing to return to the game until the problem has been resolved. The development team has acknowledged the problem and updated players, insisting that "resolving the inventory wipe is our top priority and will remain so until fixed". Developer People Can Fly now says it has applied "additional preventative measures on to our servers to guard against any inventory wipes", adding that while it is seeing a reduction in the issue,  it is "continuing to lock in additional countermeasures". It appears that the problem persists , however. A The Last of Us fan has created a seriously realistic-looking Clicker cosplay which is so good, Naughty Dog even gave them a personal shoutout. The cosplay artist is SFX make-up enthusiast Allie aka @donttouchmymilk on Instagram, and Naughty Dog was so impressed with the design that they gave the cosplayer a shoutout on Twitter with the caption “we stopped dead in our tracks to admire Donttouchmymillk's Clicker cosplay!
