Another notable change in the patch notes is one to the Deep Stone Crypt raid. Bungie has fixed an exploit raiders have used in an early portion of the activity almost since it was first released. The section finds players riding their sparrows through a deadly blizzard, where spending too much time out in the elements gives them a debuff called Frostbite that can eventually kill them. Players have to race from safe haven to safe haven in order to avoid freezing to death, but the exploit allowed them to essentially become immune to the cold, drastically cutting down the challenge of the opening portion of the raid. With Update 3.0.2, raiders will have to make it through the sparrow portion legitimately--which is going to make "flawless" runs of the raid, where no member of the six-player team dies, a whole lot tougher to achieve. … [Read more...] about Destiny 2 Patch Notes: Update Nerfs Hunter Shatterdive, Fixes Deep Stone Crypt Bug

Yakuza 5 review
Yakuza 5 is such an enormous, generous game that it can afford sections like this - because if it's not your thing, there's still hundreds upon hundreds of hours elsewhere. My save file is now just over 30 hours and it feels like barely scratching the surface - even if I did spend lots of time in a taxi, or playing Virtua Fighter 2. This is a world of endless, delightful distractions that keep feeding into one another. It's amazing enough to find a (limited) version of Taiko: Drum Master in the local Club Sega, but after exhausting that you can just head down the street to a karaoke bar - and play Sega's twist on the same, tailored for pad controls, while characters belt out some Jpop classics. … [Read more...] about Yakuza 5 review
Hitman 3 review – a satisfying end to a beautiful stealth trilogy
The great provocative unfulfilled possibility of the World of Assassination trilogy is that maps don't really respond once you've killed somebody. Guard patrol patterns tighten up, bodies are bagged and removed, and certain bigwigs might flee to saferooms, but the mood and fundamental workings of the space carry on unaltered. I finished off my first Argentina playthrough by shooting a woman with a sniper rifle in full view of a hundred people - when I drifted through the area as a waiter a moment later it was like it had never happened. The nearest you get in Hitman 3 to a kind of map-wide "second act" is in China, where one of the more elaborate killing methods results in a full lockdown that drives half the workforce outside to stand gossiping in the rain. … [Read more...] about Hitman 3 review – a satisfying end to a beautiful stealth trilogy
