Saturday Night Live Returns With New Episode Tonight
By Adam Barnhardt - December 7, 2019 05:36 pm EST Share 0 Comments 0 After a quick Thanksgiving break, Saturday Night Live is returning with a new episode tonight with Jennifer Lopez and DaBaby as guests. Lopez is fresh off appearing in the acclaimed Hustlers and will be making her third hosting stop on show, her first appearance on the show in nearly ten years. She also appeared as a musical guest on February 5, 2000. DaBaby, on the other hand, will be making his SNL debut tonight as he takes the stage at Studio 8H for the first time. As usual, tonight's episode kicks off at 11:30/10:30 p.m. Central. With a potential presidential impeachment dominating the current news cycle, it'd be easy to assume Alec Baldwin will return with his Donald Trump impression to kick things off tonight. That means one might expect the associated characters to end up popping up, including one of Kate McKinnon's many impressions of various members of the current administration. Also … [Read more...] about Saturday Night Live Returns With New Episode Tonight
Tough Love: On Dark Souls’ Difficulty
You Died: The Dark Souls Companion is one of the great gaming books of the last few years - it's passionate, perceptive and wonderfully partisan. (We should also mention that it's the work of two friends of Eurogamer, Keza MacDonald and Jason Killingsworth.) Killingsworth is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to produce a beautiful hardback version of the book, which will include a new chapter. He's kindly allowed us to publish this extract as a taster. Dark Souls' most obvious trait also happens to be its least interesting; fixating on 'gosh, this game's hard' seems a bit obvious when we could be talking about its themes, its lore, its fascinating game design. Dark Souls is more than a Tough Mudder challenge for the couch-bound. But Dark Souls' difficulty is also inescapable and, rightly or wrongly, it's what the game is most famous for. Ask players for their recollections, and they will tell you the moments that made them cry, the moments when they felt physically and … [Read more...] about Tough Love: On Dark Souls’ Difficulty
‘Star Trek’ Icon Nichelle Nichols Talks Zoe Saldana, ‘Discovery,’ And NASA
By Russ Burlingame - September 13, 2017 08:47 am EDT Share 0 Comments 0 Star Trek veteran Nichelle Nichols is not just a trailblazer in television, but the actress behind one of the most beloved women in TV history and someone who has used her celebrity both to continue promoting Star Trek as a brand and to improve the world around her. Nichols said during an interview this past weekend at Wizard World Chicago that she quietly hoped for the kind of universal acclaim for Star Trek that would make her a TV icon, and that nearly fifty years later, when it was time to hand the role of Nyota Uhura over to Zoe Saldana for the JJ Abrams-directed reboot of the franchise, she was happy to do so. “She’s great,” Nichols told ComicBook.com. “When I was leaving the country at the time, I told her I gave her my best and wished her the best, and she did very, very well with it.” Her advice for the incoming cast of Star Trek: Discovery, a series … [Read more...] about ‘Star Trek’ Icon Nichelle Nichols Talks Zoe Saldana, ‘Discovery,’ And NASA
Stan Lee’s New Restraining Order Against Keya Morgan Granted
By JK Schmidt - August 17, 2018 03:20 pm EDT Share 0 Comments 0 A new development occurred in the ongoing saga of Stan Lee's personal life and his issues with former business partner Keya Morgan. The report from Variety indicates a judge granted a new restraining order for Lee against Morgan. Lee's attorney Jonathan Freund appeared in court to make the request, and commissioner Laura Hymowitz approved the order. The judge's order states that Morgan cannot contact Lee or come in within 100 yards of him, and that he is also barred from contacting Lee's daughter, J.C. Lee, and his brother, Larry Lieber. "Stan is doing pretty well," Freund said outside of the courtroom, according to Variety. "He’s working again, and his health is improving. He’s still creating characters." Morgan did not appear in court, and the report indicates this hearing was delayed because Lee's attorneys were unable to locate Morgan to serve him the paperwork. In court, Freund … [Read more...] about Stan Lee’s New Restraining Order Against Keya Morgan Granted
