Over the past year, many of us have been spending more time than ever at home, working with a PC setup that may or may not be set up for ergonomic comfort. Even if you've got a gaming chair with great lumbar support, padded wrist rests, and your monitor set at the proper eye level, there are aspects of your setup that can still leave you feeling a bit uncomfortable. For me, it's the fact that my feet don't really reach the ground properly whenever I sit up straight in my chair, and this is fairly common--many people are too short for the chair they're in, or the height of your desk requires you to increase the height of your chair past the point of comfort. An ergonomic footrest is a great way of combatting this problem, and I've been testing the ErgoFoam adjustable footrest for the past month or so. The best part is that it's covered in a soft, plush material that feels downright incredible on your feet, while its high-density foam interior offers enough support and a gentle … [Read more...] about This Under-Desk Footrest Is An Ergonomic Dream For Gaming And Work

The making of Bravely Default 2, a return to form built on demos, mistakes, and Octopath Traveler
While Bravely Second: End Layer continued the story of the original game, Bravely Default 2 is now hoping to continue the story of the franchise some six years later. The third (and slightly confusingly named) installment of the series will launch on Nintendo Switch this Friday, February 26, and producer Masashi Takahashi hopes to see it establish Bravely as a full-fat series home to independent but thematically connected stories and games. He and character designer Naoki Ikushima have also worked to marry the best parts of Bravely with lessons learned from Octopath Traveler, the last Switch JRPG that the two worked on, and player feedback has shaped that process at nearly every level. A return to form "While I am really proud that so many people have played the games and like the series, at the same time I also feel with each game we had a lot of points to reflect on," Takahashi says of the series thus far. "With Bravely Second: End Layer, we received a lot of comments mainly … [Read more...] about The making of Bravely Default 2, a return to form built on demos, mistakes, and Octopath Traveler
Bravely Default 2 review – a heady serving of nostalgia, and a theorycrafter’s dream
Square Enix's line of retro JRPGs continues with an all-new world and tale for Bravely Default, though some of the old problems persist. Sometimes, there's nothing quite so reassuring as a good old JRPG. This is a comfort blanket of a genre for players of a certain age, games that happily consume entire lazy afternoons curled up on a sofa as you slowly push numbers ever upwards. They don't come much more comforting than those producer Tomoya Asano and his team have made an art of in recent years; dipping into Square Enix's remarkable history of evocative greats, they've given us modern takes on the classic JRPG formula such as 2018's Octopath Traveler and 2012's Bravely Default. Such was the success of the original Bravely Default that it saw a small number of follow-ups, though this being the convoluted world of JRPG titling it's only now we're getting a Bravely Default 2 - that number denoting a clean break from prior games in the same way that each new Final Fantasy … [Read more...] about Bravely Default 2 review – a heady serving of nostalgia, and a theorycrafter’s dream
Last Of Us Actor On Who He Thinks Should Play Tommy In The HBO Show
Actor Jeffrey Pierce, who played Tommy in The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II, has revealed his top pick for who should play the character in HBO's upcoming adaptation. He said on Twitter ( via GamesRadar ) that he would like to see Gael Garcia Bernal play Tommy, who is Joel's younger brother. Pierce also said he would be interested to see HBO cast a woman to play Tommy. Bernal played a major recurring role on Amazon's Mozart in the Jungle, while he also appeared in Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's 2006 movie Babel. Additionally, Bernal is known for voicing Hector in the Pixar movie Coco. I auditioned for Joel, but Troy Baker walked in and WAS Joel. :) @Neil_Druckmann kept me in mind when they got to Tommy and offered it to me. Rest is history. Gael Garcia Bernal, assuming they go Latino. Or a Latina woman. And I mean that 100% sincerely. Aunt "Tommy" Tomasina. ;) — Jeffrey Pierce (@pierce_jeffrey) February 24, 2021 Pierce also revealed that he auditioned for the … [Read more...] about Last Of Us Actor On Who He Thinks Should Play Tommy In The HBO Show
Mortal Kombat movie producer addresses Mileena’s look
The new Mortal Kombat movie trailer has been released, and it features various infamous characters from throughout the franchise's history. Sub Zero, Shang Tsung, and Raiden all make appearances, with fans praising the bloody direction that filmmaker Simon McQuoid has taken the movie down. However, there has been some controversy over Mileena’s appearance. The fighter, played by Sisi Stringer, does not have quite the same gruesome, toothy look as she has in the vide-games. Producer Todd Garner has now spoken out about the character's look, teasing that there's certainly more to come. "That’s not all of her," Garner wrote on Twitter.
