By Tyler Fischer - December 15, 2019 09:59 am EST Share 0 Comments 0 It's almost the end of 2019, which means game releases are really starting to slow down. ‘The Outer Worlds’ Epic Games Store Exclusivity Revealed and Fans Are Not Happy
By Eric Garrett - March 20, 2019 05:38 pm EDT Share 1 Comments 1 Obsidian Entertainment seemingly had everything going for it with their upcoming RPG. The game looks delightful in both terms of visuals and narrative, it's an entirely new IP, and it's from Obsidian, the creators of one of the greatest RPG experiences in gaming. That said, the hype train seems to have derailed, as it has officially been announced that The Outer Worlds will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store on PC. While the exclusivity is only for the first year, some fans have decided this is enough for them to just forget about the title altogether, which surely makes sense somewhere. During the Epic Games keynote at GDC, it was revealed that The Outer Worlds will be available on the Epic Games Store for the first year, after which it will be available on other digital platforms. It will still be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Microsoft Store on launch. Epic Games Store Will Cut Back on Exclusives Eventually
By Eric Garrett - March 23, 2019 04:30 pm EDT Share 0 Comments 0 Many gamers have become unhappy about Epic Games as of late. Surprisingly, it doesn't have much to do about their wildly popular battle royale game Fortnite, but that probably plays a part somewhere along the way. Instead, the dissatisfaction comes from the Epic Games Store, which has been pulling exclusives out of every direction possible, even bringing a few titles once bound only to PlayStation consoles to its store. That said, all of the exclusivity has been at the forefront of many debates, but according to Epic Games Store chief Steve Allison, it's not going to last forever. During a recent Q&A at the Game Developers Conference, Allison discussed many topics, including the exclusivity extravaganza the Epic Games Store has been having lately. "I don’t think we plan to do it forever," Allison said. "I expect that we’re already seeing the ecosystem come to life, from a sales and … [Read more...] about Epic Games Store Will Cut Back on Exclusives Eventually

By Eric Garrett - April 25, 2019 04:00 pm EDT Share 0 Comments 0 One of the bigger talks of the gaming world as of late has revolved around the Epic Games Store and the amount of exclusives that the company has been announcing for the platform. This has certainly made a few people upset, with many pledging their loyalty to the already-established Steam store from Valve.
