The ninth installment of the Saw franchise, Spiral: From the Book of Saw , is about to hit theaters on May 14, but the real show is happening right now on Twitter, where the franchise's official account is getting up to some shenanigans with a popular parody account. If the tweets across both Jigsaw_quotes and Saw accounts are taken at face value, the former seems to have "hacked" and taken over the latter account. "That's it, @Saw, your time is up," reads the tweet from Jigsaw_quotes sparking this whole exchange off. "For years you have exploited my ingenuity for the sake of your films. Well today you must ask yourself - how far are you willing to go to take back what’s yours?" From there, well, it's best to let a few of the tweets speak for themselves. Check out the escalation below. One of the biggest surprises of Marvel Studios' WandaVision wasn't one of the show's cameos or twists, but rather the lack of one. Many fans expected Doctor Strange to appear, and were left baffled--and a little disappointed--when he didn't show up. In a post-finale twist, we now know that he was actually supposed to, thanks to a new interview of MCU boss Kevin Feige and WandaVision head writer Jac Schaeffer by Rolling Stone . According to Rolling Stone, Feige explained that Marvel had made a deal with Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch to appear in WandaVision's finale, but ended up writing him out late in the process. He explained why: "Some people might say, 'Oh, it would've been so cool to see Doctor Strange," Feige told Rolling Stone. "But it would have taken away from Wanda, which is what we didn't want to do. We didn't want the end of the show to be commoditized to go to the next movie." While Strange's presence would've pleased many fans, Feige's statement … [Read more...] about Doctor Strange Was Cut From WandaVision, MCU Boss Kevin Feige Says
Epic Games is generating a lot of news lately, mainly due to the ongoing court battle against Apple . And, as a side-effect of that trial, a slew of documents that have recently been revealed shedding a bit more light on how the company operates. For instance, we learned that Epic spent over $11 million on free games in the first nine months of giveaways. The document showed how much Epic paid developers to secure their games as freebies, along with how many new Epic Game Store accounts were created to claim those games. Pretty interesting stuff. I know a lot of people claim Epic Games Store's free games , including many of us here at PC Gamer. But how many of us actually play those games, instead of just logging in to nab them and then completely forgetting about them? I asked our writers if they were actually playing the free games or just banking them for some distant rainy day. You can tell us your own free game habits in the comments below. Jarred Walton: I’ve … [Read more...] about How many free Epic Store games have you actually played?
With the system now discontinued, Nintendo has revealed that it has shipped 2.3 million NES Classic Editions around the world since its launch last November. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime shared the figure with Time (and Nintendo subsequently confirmed it with GameSpot). This is a sell-in figure, which accounts for the number of units shipped to retailers, as opposed to sell-through numbers that only track units actually purchased by consumers. That said, given the incredible popularity of the system, there's likely little distinction between the two in this case. This figure is up from the 1.5 million that Nintendo announced at the beginning of February . Since then, demand has remained unsatisfied. And that's not about to change, as the company announced earlier this month that it was discontinuing the system worldwide . It provided no reasoning for the move at the time, but Fils-Aime offered some insight to Time. Regarding the supply issues, he said the … [Read more...] about Nintendo Talks NES Classic Edition Discontinuation As Sales Surpass 2 Million
Players rejoiced two weeks ago when developer Raven Software announced that Call of Duty: Warzone's despised Roze skin would finally be addressed in the next patch. For months, the popularity of Roze's Rook skin has been a major source of frustration as Roze players have exploited the outfit's all-black appearance to disappear against dark backdrops and shadowy corners in Verdansk. With the skin on, it's very easy to blend into the interior of buildings, and unfortunately, that hasn't really changed since Season 3 began. I had hoped that changes to Roze meant some sort of alteration to her uniform or its color, but it turns out Raven didn't have anything that drastic in mind. "We’ve adjusted Roze in order to improve the Operators readability/visibility where sources of light are available," reads last week's Season 3 patch notes . My first impression was that Roze's visibility is only really a problem in dark areas, so increasing her visibility in the light doesn't really … [Read more...] about After an ineffective nerf, Roze is still hard to see in Call of Duty: Warzone
