By Patrick Cavanaugh - April 2, 2019 09:49 pm EDT Share 0 Comments 0 James Wan delivered audiences The Conjuring in 2013, a frightening tale of a family who seeks the help of paranormal investigators when they believe an evil spirit has invaded their home. The film's rich mythology helped launch a shared universe of horror films, which included spinoff franchises Annabelle and The Nun, as well as earn itself a sequel in 2016's The Conjuring 2. Fans have known that a third film was on the way, yet the focus of the studio seemed to be on the spinoff series. As confirmed at Warner Bros. CinemaCon presentation today, The Conjuring 3 will be headed into theaters on September 11, 2020. The original film starred Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as Ed and Lorraine Warren, inspired by a real-life pair of investigators. Home • Guides • 5 Dave Irwin Guides Writer 13th June 2019 / 1:42PM They just keep coming don’t they? A lot of games were announced at E3 2019, things that we didn’t know about, as well as stuff that’s previously announced, or expansions to already released games. By Adam Barnhardt - December 8, 2019 06:46 pm EST Share 0 Comments 0 If you're hoping Captain America(Chris Evans) was actually Star-Lord's (Chris Pratt) grandpa, you're out of luck. After a fan theory that suggested the situation went viral, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has taken to Twitter to debunk the theory. After a months-long tweeting hiatus, Gunn says he's "sorry to bust" the theory. Sorry to bust this fun theory, but it doesn't work as Meredith Quill's father is a major character played by @GreggHenry88 in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 and appears briefly in Vol 2. https://t.co/5Jgshez3Np — James Gunn (@JamesGunn) December 8, 2019 The original theory suggests Captain America essentially had a one night stand with the character played by Laura Haddock in Captain America: The First Avenger. Haddock returned to the MCU to play Quill's mother in both Guardians of the Galaxy movies. The theorist suggested Haddock's Captain America … [Read more...] about James Gunn Debunks Popular Captain America as Star-Lord’s Grandpa Theory
Bethesda Reviving Commander Keen As a Free To Play Mobile Game – E3 2019
There were a few surprising new reveals at Bethesda's E3 conference this year. One of them was Tango Gameworks' Ghostwire Tokyo, another was Arkane Lyon's Deathloop. The third--which will spark the interest of anyone who grew up playing shareware games on PCs in the early 90's--was the revival of a classic platformer series Commander Keen.Creative Director Kira Schlitt took the stage to announce the return of Commander Keen as a free-to-play mobile game for iOS and Android devices. Visually inspired by Saturday morning cartoons, it looks like you'll play as the children of the original Commander Keen, who is canonically the grandson of Wolfenstein protagonist BJ Blazkowicz, and the father of the guy from Doom (I'm not kidding. In fact, you can see photos of BJ and Wolfenstein: Youngblood protagonists Jess and Soph in the trailer). The twin kids, named Billy and Billie, will use a variety of homemade gadgets and powers in what is described as a drag-and-drop 2D tactics game. There will … [Read more...] about Bethesda Reviving Commander Keen As a Free To Play Mobile Game – E3 2019
