Following its official reveal last year, MachineGames is now a little more than a month away from launching its latest title, Wolfenstein: Youngblood. At Bethesda’s E3 2019 showcase, the title was given some stage time, revealing a brand new trailer as well as some gameplay details which aim to shake up the familiar shooter mechanics fans may have gotten used to with the previous two games. During a hands-on demo with the game, fans also now know about how long they’ll be fighting Nazi enemies as BJ’s twin daughters Jessica and Sophia Blazkowicz inside an alternative 1980’s timeline. The topic of how long Wolfenstein: Youngblood will take to complete was recently addressed by Jerk Gustafsson, the executive producer at MachineGames. When asked specifically how long it would likely take players to beat the campaign, Gustafsson pegged the experience to last anywhere between 25-30 hours if the player does everything the game has to offer. Oddly enough, Gustafsson … [Read more...] about Wolfenstein Youngblood: How Long Does it Take To Beat?
Fallout 76 is finally going to feel more like a Bethesda game after its Wastelanders update. Fallout 76 Wastelanders update will bring Human NPCs for the first time along with story quests, dialogue options, and branching choices that have consequences. Add Wolfenstein to the list of franchises that are being confusingly monetized. The upcoming Wolfenstein spin-off sequel, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, is now confirmed to feature microtransactions. Players will officially be able to purchase cosmetic customizations in Wolfenstein: Youngblood, a new direction for a franchise that has managed to succeed without them for so long. The “confusing” aspect is with regards to details about potential gameplay microtransactions, which now appear to be refuted by MachineGames. Answering questions from Game Informer, during E3 2019, a MachineGames representative reportedly said that players will be able to purchase gameplay items with real money in Wolfenstein: Youngblood. The examples that were provided include weapon upgrades, a major facet of progression in previous Wolfenstein games, and weapon attachments. The official Wolfenstein Twitter account has since provided an update, refuting the claim and stating that players cannot purchase … [Read more...] about Wolfenstein: Youngblood Has Confusing Microtransactions
Fallout 76 can feel a tad lonely at times. There are no human NPCs in the game, so your interaction with other people is strictly limited to players. At least, that’s how it used to be. Bethesda’s E3 2019 conference saw the studio announcing the Wastelanders update for Fallout 76. This update will add new questlines to the game, but more importantly, there will now be human NPCs. That’s right – a feature that’s been present in every mainline Fallout game will finally be accessible in this one. Hip hip and indeed hooray. So what can we expect from these new human additions to the Virginia wasteland?According to Fallout 76 project lead Jeff Gardiner, the Wastelanders NPCs will be much more than just glorified set dressing. Speaking to PCGamesN, Gardiner said Fallout 76‘s new NPCs would have complex dialogue trees which have “even more options than [they] did in Fallout 4“. … [Read more...] about New Fallout 76 NPCs Will Have Dialogue Trees And Romance Options
