The man is thought to have been a visitor to the Island of Erraid. A search was launched after a red kayak was spotted in the Sound of Iona near to Fidden campsite by a member of the public at about 10.20pm on Tuesday.HM Coastguard and the Oban RNLI located and recovered the body at about 11.50am on Wednesday. Police Scotland have been informed and inquiries are ongoing but it is believed the man’s family has been traced and that the a formal identification will take place today.
